Affiliate Disclosure
How we make money
nomadgear.org is a free resource for digital nomads. Browsing the directory, reading our guides, and using our tools costs nothing. Instead, we earn through affiliate partnerships: when you click through to a product or service we've listed and make a purchase, sign up, or subscribe, we may receive a commission from that company. This comes at no extra cost to you - the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly.
We work with a range of affiliate networks and direct partner programs across the categories in our directory (VPNs, insurance, banking, connectivity, gear, and more), and this list changes as partnerships are added or removed over time.
How this affects what we recommend
It doesn't, as a matter of policy. What we list and how we rank it is decided by our own research and editorial judgment, not by commission size. If a product or service is genuinely useful for digital nomads, we list it whether or not it pays a commission, and we turn down partnership offers for products we wouldn't otherwise recommend.
How to spot affiliate links
We label affiliate links directly at the link itself (for example, links marked "Granted"). If you ever come across a link that should be marked and isn't, let us know at tools@nomadgear.org and we'll fix it.
Some outbound links may set a tracking cookie on the destination company's own website when you click through, so that any resulting purchase can be attributed to us. This only happens when you actively click the link - see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details on how this works and what data is involved.
